Dissociation can only take you so far before you wake up. Face your fears. Seek your answers. Learn your truth.
After her mother’s disappearance, Atarah Nefarin is left to protect her twin siblings from the wrath of her stepfather. Stepping in to take the brunt of the violence, Atarah has a plan forged from the years of abuse. A plan that she acts on when a man from the Below appears at her doorstep claiming to be her father. From there he introduces her to the world she’s only read about in grimoires—the elusive, magical Below. There Atarah must come to shed her mortal reality to face her fae, repressed, glamoured truth. As she does, Atarah uncovers more secrets that her mother failed to teach her about the beings that roam the Below.
In the magical land of gods and monsters, she’ll have to rise with the darkness to save the land from the prevailing rot. A rot that is crumbling her court due to a tenacious unbalanced reign that must come to a bloody end. On top of the mounting bodies being found drained of their magic as well as bodies spilling out into the mortal realm of the Above, sleeping beasts as old as the creation awaken to take what’s been deprived. Atarah must come to learn her place in the magical realm as her new realities threaten to crumble the land. With her trusted friend from Above, and the new friends she garners along the way, will Atarah assume her role to save her court and prevent tragic losses?
Please note: This book contains explicit content, and darker elements, including scenes of abuse, violence and mature language. It is not intended for any one under 18 years of age. This is book one in the series.
